Pastel colors are definitely a hot trend for Spring and there's something that makes mint colored clothing and accessories especially versatile, easy-going and well... not too feminine.  The color reminds me of some of my favorite childhood snacks (i.e.: mint chip ice cream and Double Mint Gum) while opens new doors to fashionistas who typically stick to a neutral palette year round. From Alexander Wang to Dolce Vita, it seems like everyone's going crazy for mint!

Pastels are always a shoe-in when it comes to spring beauty. Mint green and its variations, including sea foam green, spring green and institution green has leapt off candy shelves and sanitarium walls onto the nails, lips, and hair of daring fashionistas.

The color is certainly not new – it reached peak popularity in the 1960s and faded into the retro horizon but has regained great momentum the past few seasons. Karl Lagerfeld debuted a smattering of mint green amidst his staple black and white on the Fall 2009 Chanel runway. Lady Gaga has recently even sported the color on her cheeks!
